Full name:
Santiago Balestrini Robinson Birthdate: February 6th, 1981 Birthplace: Buenos Aires, Argentina Santiago began playing bass right before Soundfreek was formed, when he was asked whether he'd like to participate in the then-new project. Santiago together with MADS formed the compositional entity of early Soundfreek, resulting in music both inspirational and weird at the same time. His influences ranged from classic rock (The Doors, Pink Floyd, Blind Faith, etc.) to experimental (Frank Zappa, Jaco Pastorius) to modern alt-rock (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against The Machine, etc.). Unfortunately he had to leave the band right after the release of the self-titled album Soundfreek in mid-2000, to pursue an engineering degree in the USA. He is in close contact with the band. |
